Flanges ARE DISC-SHAPED PARTS MOST COMMONLY USED IN PIPING, WHERE FLANGES ARE USED IN PAIRS and WITH MATCHING FLangES ON VALVES.In pipeline engineering, flanges are mainly used to connect pipelines.In the pipeline that needs to be connected, install a flange of various kinds, low pressure pipeline can use wire flange, use welding flange for pressure above 4 kg.Add a gasket between the two flanges and tighten with bolts.Flanges of different pressures have different thicknesses and use different bolts.

Pumps and valves, when connected with pipes, parts of these equipment are also made into corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange connections.All in the two planes in the periphery of the bolted connection and closed connection parts, generally known as "flange", such as the connection of ventilation duct, this kind of parts can be called "flange parts".But this connection is only a part of the equipment, such as the connection of the flange and the pump, it is not good to call the pump "flange parts".Relatively small, such as valves, can be called "flange parts."
